PORTLAND (WGME) -- Voter turnout was light all over the state Tuesday, according to Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows.

She says her team traveled from Biddeford through Gorham and Portland, making their way to Bangor Tuesday night.

Bellows says she saw light turnout at every place she stopped, but it's understandable, she says, for a June primary.

She says typically, Maine has some of the highest voter turnout in the nation.
