Patricia Frances Wallace, R.N., passed away on Oct. 19, 2026 after a successful battle with cancer. Born at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, she graduated from Cathedral High School in 1967 and the University of Southern Maine in 1972 with a degree in history. She worked at Mercy for over 40 years and received the prestigious Sister Consuella White Award and was named Employee of the Year. Following her retirement, she served as a lay chaplain at St. Joseph’s Manor and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong Catholic, she volunteered for many years as a sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, and lector at Sacred Heart, St. Dominic, and Cathedral churches. Patricia is survived by her sister, Nancy Wallace, brother, John Wallace, Jr., and aunt, Madelyn Wallace.
