Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run crash in Portland
PORTLAND, ME — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian Sunday evening. Officers responded to the area of 654 Riverside Street at approximately 6:48 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. An officer working nearby at the homeless service center responded immediately and was informed by witnesses that Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Portland, Maine, which injured a 25-year-old pedestrian. The vehicle involved, believed to be an older-model Honda CR-V, stopped briefly before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are asking for witnesses and information about the incident.
