The Father's Day Pro Boxing Classic is Saturday in Portland. Sierra Hull, a bluegrass singer and mandolin player, will perform on her summer tour at the State Theatre in Portland. The Portland Bach Experience, which offers events centered around classical music, will host Bach & Beer at Orange Bike Brewing Co., free to attend. The event will also feature a flight of four, 5-ounce pours of Orange Bike’s gluten-free brews paired with four short musical interludes chosen to match the flavor profiles. The Father's Day Pro Boxing Classic will be held on Father’�s Day eve, featuring a mix of professional title fights and amateur bouts. The Indigo Arts Alliance will celebrate Juneteenth with a daylong gathering featuring art workshops, meditation, cross-cultural history, community building and cooking.

Bluegrass singer-songwriter and mandolin player Sierra Hull made her Grand Ole Opry debut when she was 10, played Carnegie Hall at 12 and was signed to a record label at 13. Two decades later, Hull’s catalog is five albums strong, and the 2016 release “Weighted Mind” was nominated for a Best Folk Album Grammy. Hull kicks off her Tip Toe High Wire summer tour Thursday in Portland.

Indigo Arts Alliance honors and celebrates Juneteenth with The Welcome Table. The daylong gathering includes art workshops, movement and meditation, cross-cultural history, community building and cooking. Scholars, activists, religious leaders, artists, culinary specialists and members of the public will look at the links connecting food, culture and spirituality in national and international social justice organizing. Indigo Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization committed to the artistic development of people of African descent.

Yo Adrian! It’s been 30 years since the Cross Insurance Arena played host to a professional boxing bout. The wait is over, as the Father’s Day Pro Boxing Classic goes down on Father’s Day eve. The night will pack a whole lot of punches with a mix of professional title fights and amateur bouts. Portland’s Casey Streeter will be putting ’em up against Jimmy Williams of Connecticut. Other Mainers on the fight schedule are Zordan Holman, Ilyas Bashir, Wade Faria and Brandon Berry.
