Charlotte FC is on the verge of clinching a playoff berth, with a win or draw against the Portland Timbers. The Israeli forward Idan Toklomati, who has scored 13 goals for Charlotte FC, has set a new club record with four goals over the past three games. Despite Toklmati's strong performance, Charlotte is only 1-2-1 over its last four matches against a Portland team on a seven-match winless stretch. The Timbers are currently tied for 11th place in the West and are five points behind the Colorado Rapids. Despite a recent injury to defender Ronald Hernandez, he will play against Charlotte.
